Gym Clothing Manufacturers That Understand How Activewear Should Feel

It‘s a whole other story when you try to find your gym clothing manufacturers. And a whole other thing still, if you try to find a manufacturer that recognizes what a piece of clothing goes through once a person begins to work out.

A gym shirt can appear attractive on a hanger and still be uncomfortable after twenty minutes of training. The shoulders might pull when raising your arms, the material might retain excess heat or the waistband might constantly shift when squatting.

Those details are what can easily get lost in a final photograph.

A Gym Garment Has to Work While You’re Moving

No one wears gym kit just to pose around in it.

They stretched, bend, lift, run, sit, and position all over the place. It is a good fit to be able to have that.

The T-shirt, which is comfortable standing-up, may have a constricting effect on the shoulders during a training session. The shorts may look good until a person begins to perform a squat or a lunge.

This is why we should think of activewear in motion, not only in a photograph of a product.

Fabric Changes the Experience

The fabric alters sensation totally.

A give not to stiff material is a plus, it makes moving around easier and comfortable. Good recover will keep the garment in shape rather than getting baggy.

Breathability is also important here, particularly for the training-oriented items.

But you can‘t pick one fabric for all types of gym wear.

A light weight training T-shirt can not be made to the same specifications as a compression top or a set of heavy weight training shorts.

The right option is something tailored to what the garment is meant to do.

Fit Is More Than Getting the Measurements Right

Measurements are significant but they don‘t say everything.

Two garments can measure almost exactly the same, and yet be felt entirely differently on the body.

Shoulder seam: it could alter the ease of arm movement. The contour of the armhole could have an impact on the comfort of upper-body work-out. The rise of the shorts could be noticeable as soon as moving.

That‘s why the fitting of an activewear sample has to be done with movement.

Here‘s one.

Move around.

Lift your arms.

Bend down.

Look at the way the clothes hang.

This is where it becomes starker.

The Details Start Showing Up During Training

Some of the most frustrating issues are, ah, trivial.

A tie that is constantly becoming undone.

A good bag, that moves about when you are running.

A seam that rubs on the skin.

An exercise waistband that folds over.

While none of these details might even be noticeable in a photograph of the product, they can change a person‘s relationship with the product entirely.

The construction details of gymwear are as significant as their overall aesthetic.

Don’t Approve a Sample Too Quickly

You might think the same sample looks great, but it could turn out to be very different when re-tested.

Give it a shot during the activity it‘s supposed to be used for.

Wash it.

Wear it again.

See if the fabric maintains its shape and if the clothing still feels comfortable after several times worn.

This is particularly relevant to stretch fabrics. Most garments will feel amazing when new but will behave quite differently after laundering and wear.

Testing early is much more pleasant than finding out what has gone wrong after a whole production run.

Production Has Its Own Challenges

After the sampling is approved, the attention shifts.

Now what the manufacturer is to do, is to re-make the identical product time and again.

The fabric must react the same way. Measurements must be maintained to the agreed parameters. Stitch, colours, print, labels and finishing must be identical to the sample agreed.

Regarding the use of activewear, consistency can be especially so as a slight variation in fit or stretch can alter the overall feel.

Getting one decent sample is all well and good.

Making a complete production batch that feels identical to that sample is the true challenge.

Think About the Person Wearing It

The most technical sport attire is not always the most effective.

It is ones that makes sense for the person or people wearing it.

If someone weight trains… They may value freedom about the shoulders, or the legs.

A runner whoC2ndoue9s very weight conscious, athletically minded. B who actually thinks about cool places to run, and vice versa.

If an individual is seeking day-to-day training wear, they may want to simply find comfortable clothing that is easily washable and that will not lose its shape easily.

It is also good to know who is actually going to wear a garment prior to design one.

That decision (and all the ones we make along the way) will determine everything else that happens later.

Finding a Manufacturer That Understands the Product

The right manufacturer would not need to indicate to you that every product is feasible.

That they should be able to inform you about the pratical side of how it will actually be made.

If you are designing a specific fit, fabric or construction they should be able to read the specifications, then discuss the details with you through sampling.

For brands developing custom gym wear, JiuvelWear, operated by Dongguan Jiuzuo Clothing Co., Ltd., works with product development, sampling, customization, and bulk apparel production.

We don‘t want to just produce gym wear that looks nice on a model shot.

They have to feel good when someone is actually wearing them, dancing, washing them, and then coming back to wear them again.

Here is the point at which a gym clothing maker takes ownership of the product rather than where it is just the company that produces it.
